Dutch Creek Trails Guided Tour Rates
Our ride usually takes a little longer than an hour and cost $80 each. You will sign up at the house and get on the horse at the guide shack. Our “shuttle service” is a hay wagon ride to and from the place where you will be riding. (Just a little added fun) There is a wide range of terrain and lots of scenery. You will ride wooded trails and old grown-up fields with some beautiful views.
I don’t have a credit card machine but cash and personal checks are fine. Rides go out at 10:00am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm in the summer and 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm in the winter. We are closed on Sundays.
Call ahead for reservations at 828-297-7117. Call anytime but during our busy season it pays to call a week or so ahead. If we don’t answer after hours be sure to leave a message. We will call you back.
We can’t take kids under six, but six and up are fine. They will be on their own horse but we can lead if needed.
Very authentic…true trail riding in the mountains. This was our family’s first ever time on horses. Cannot say enough good about the folks here. It was our first ride for our young son, and quite muddy conditions, and I felt he might need a lead…our guide (Allie) assured me she would take care of him and that she did! He rode on his own and loved it! She encouraged him and instructed him all along the way. Steve was also a great guide, always pausing and assuring everyone was doing well. Our teenager told us it was the highlight of our trip to Boone this year!!
I had such a wonderful experience here! The guides were funny and friendly, and seem to genuinely love what they do. They ask your riding experience to match you with a horse that will be the best fit for you. Our guides explained everything and took breaks to let us know when changes in the trail were coming (uphill, downhill, etc.). The views were beautiful and it was very relaxing. We stopped for a photo at the top and our guides were very intentional about capturing the memories made. It was incredibly affordable at $60 for an hour and 15 minutes. I loved that our guide reminded us to let our horses choose their own paths throughout the trail. We all stayed together but I didn’t feel like I had to worry if my horse chose one side of the trail over the other. I will be back again and again. I live in the area and can’t wait to return for my next trail ride. I would recommend to anyone and everyone!
“This is an actual “farm” that offers rides on real trails, not just dirt/gravel roads. This place is not something just pretending to be the real deal. Everything is well kept and in good working order. The people are outstanding, they’re polite and also friendly. If you have not actually been here for a ride then I’m not sure how you could even rate these folks. Much less give them only 3 stars……. If you want a real trail ride with real horse lovers then Dutch Creek is the place for you. Bar none.”
